This is my purchase for home defense.
A Taurus favorite, this .40 Caliber version of our 9mm PT92 offers full 10+1 capacity in the popular police caliber. Featuring an ambidextrous three-position safety that allows cocked and locked single action carry or the convenience of a decocked double action, these classically designed pistols also accept the Taurus .22LR caliber conversion kit.
Operating controls are mounted on the frame for reliability and ease of use. This pistol is equipped with the Taurus Security System™ at no additional charge, as always.

Left side, green background The Model PT100 features fixed sights and is available in either stainless or blued steel. This Special Edition Model PT100 offers gold-tone controls and mother of pearl composite grip panels.
After several years without a weapon at home, I went ahead and purchased a Taurus .40 caliber Smith and Wesson semi-automatic for home defense and personal protection.

This is my qualification target for my Concealed Carry Weapons permit.  First time I actually fired the weapon!  Not a bad grouping at all...
